Infoxchange today employs over 70 people and provides services into every state and territory in Australia. It is also nurturing a social enterprise based on the Infoxchange model in East Timor.
InfoTimor's new workshop and broadband satellite connection will link with a wireless mesh network to provide internet access in schools, non-government organisations and government offices across Baucau, East Timor's second largest township.
Servicing the community sector
Infoxchange services are dedicated to ensure that not-for-profit and community organisations have access to services that aim to keep the sector running efficiently. This allows greater communication and services between organisations and clients.

The organisation is also actively involved in digital inclusion activities aimed at ensuring that all those who wish to access the new technologies can do so irrespective of income, ability or disadvantage.
What is Digital Inclusion?
The Digital Inclusion Initiative (DII) aims to ensure that people who are from a disadvantaged background have access to technology so that the digital divide, which is prevalent in our society, is minimised.
Our Digital Inclusion Projects
- Wired Community @ Collingwood
- e-ACE (Atherton Gardens)
- yarraReporter
- Language Factory
DII adopts a direct-action strategy to address issues of affordable access to information technology, economic development of disadvantaged communities, increasing user IT skills, the creation of web-based content that is relevant, and the inspiration of local communities to lifelong learning.
Rather than focusing on individuals in need, DII concentrates on whole-of-community solutions to enhance social cohesion and have a mass impact, such as the wiring of the Atherton Gardens and Collingwood public housing estates in Melbourne.
The Digital Inclusion Initiative aims to mobilise government, corporate and philanthropic resources in the form of infrastructure, cash and in-kind support to deliver projects in communities.
