Thiamine |
Available as small white tablet or injection. Usually administered for alcoholism due to vitamin B1 deficiency. Required for the normal functioning of nervous system and heart. |

Prescription not required for the tablet. Dosage is one or two per day. |

Allergy is possible but rare. |

Small tan-coloured and peppermint-scented tablet. This fluid tablet is used to remove excess fluid that collects in the abdomen in liver failure. |

In liver failure this medication requires regular monitoring as it may cause dehydration, low blood pressure, or an imbalance in body salt. |
|
|
If overdosed, dehydration, cramps, or drowsiness occurs. |
