Infoxchange Australia has this week launched a new JobSeeker website. JobSeeker is Australia’s largest online employment gateway for community, health, welfare and government sector jobs. It has been helping organisations find the right staff for over 15 years with personalised support and targeted services that specialise in community sector employment.

Access to ICT can connect communities, especially disadvantaged groups, to services and information and provide a more equal platform to raise issues, lobby governments, access forums, start important conversations and facilitate change.

Infoxchange Australia

With the demand for health and aged care services increasing every year, the importance of harnessing the tools of the internet will prove invaluable for this growing sector to effectively and efficiently disseminate information and coordinate services.

Online applications and software can offer organisation service coordination solutions and enable users convenient access to data on demand

Infoxchange Australia

Infoxchange is always seeking new opportunities to assist the community sector increase efficiency and effectiveness and from May 1 we are pleased to be expanding our suite of applications with the addition of QIPPS - Quality Improvement Program Planning System. QIPPS is an innovative tool for the planning and evaluation of health projects aimed at promoting best practice, improving knowledge management and supporting workforce development.

Digital proficiency is a key driver to enable more efficient and effective service delivery across the community sector. Over the past year the iTaNGO project (Information Technology Awareness for Non-Government Organisations) has helped to transform the information and communication technology (ICT) landscape of the community service sector.

Infoxchange Australia

“Specialist Homelessness Services Collection (SHSC): First Results” was released yesterday by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW).

The report highlights significant improvements to the way data is being collected and reports on the positive impacts that the SHIP application has added to the delivery of services for homelessness agencies across Australia.

Infoxchange Australia

For many Australian’s having access to affordable financial services such as microfinancing, has increasingly become essential to having a basic transaction account, and a moderate amount of credit.

Riding the cloud through disaster

When disaster impacts on a region, such as the earthquakes in New Zealand, local community service organisations can lose everything at a time when their services are needed most.

Social media is increasingly playing a critical role in terms of awareness, education, connectivity and social change. With more than 10% of the world’s population on Facebook (including more than 50% in Australia) the potential of social media cannot be ignored.

Infoxchange Australia

Infoxchange’s SocialDesign specialises in helping community organisations communicate their mission effectively. They have the expertise to assess brand architecture, formulate communications strategies, advise on creative direction, create a new brand identity or revitalise an existing one.

Digital Inclusion Initiative

What is Digital Inclusion?

The Digital Inclusion Initiative (DII) aims to ensure that people who are from a disadvantaged background have access to technology so that the digital divide, which is prevalent in our society, is minimised.

Profit from the online services from Infoxchange go toward these community-based projects, along with matched funding and philanthropic support.

Our Digital Inclusion Projects

Wired Community @ Collingwood  and eACE (Atherton Gardens)

These projects have seen the wiring up of towers at the Collingwood and Atherton Gardens public housing estates, providing an internet connection in each flat and the creation of public computer hubs, creating a space for residents to come and learn to use the internet and access training services and then residents have access to the internet in their homes.

yarraReporter

yarraReporter was established as a capacity building and community engagement program that trains residents in the City of Yarra to become active citizen journalists and engage with multimedia. Workshops are held with participants actively participating in local events and reporting on issues that are important to them and their community.
Language Factory

Language Factory engages with residents from public housing and migrant communities who have particular language skills to be trained to become professional interpreters and translators.

GreenPC

By refurbishing used computers and offering these at a minimal cost, GreenPC not only assists those who cannot access expensive hardware and software, but also helps the environment by recycling old computers. It also offers training in refurbishment of computers, which acts as a pathways to further employment opportunities.
